Shaving Heads for Childhood Cancer

St. Baldricks poster

We are honored to be part of the Wichita Fire Department’s chapter of The Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society (FOOLS of OZ) fundraiser for the 11th year in a row!

This year’s St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser is taking place on Friday, April 12th from 6 to 11 PM at Distillery 244 Old Town, located at 244 N. Mosely. Come help us conquer childhood cancer by cheering on the brave souls who are taking donations to have their heads shaved to raise money and stand in solidarity with children fighting cancer. There will be a raffle and live auction with fabulous prizes to bid on. Food by Noble House and Chef Roberto will be available for purchase, with a portion of the sales going to St. Baldrick’s.

St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events began as a challenge between businessmen and have grown from one event in 2000 to thousands of events around the world over the years, raising critical funds for childhood cancer research. Because kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, “shaves” for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation show their support by shaving their heads voluntarily, and inspiring friends and family to donate money to support childhood cancer research.
